i have had my Technics SL 1200 up and running for some time now and loved the process of fixing her up
With a little guidance from vinyl engine I began the process... I must say she was in great working condition when I got her from Rowlan - she was a little banged up from club use - mainly cosmetic issues
off came the feet and the screws to remove the casing
The tonearm was pretty easy to remove
At this point it was rather easy until...
But the step by step procedure as noted on vinyl engine made the task a whole lot easier to handle- this looked more daunting than it was
Was left with a rather dirty shell
after a few coats of spray and few coats of clear - we had the makings of sweet looking SL 1200
Replacing the parts was easier than stripping it down
The Test Run
she came out nice and playing wonderfully :groovy:
