Well, I have had my Proac D48R'S for a while; I thought I would share my thoughts about them.

They are a two way design, consisting of two 6,5 inch mid/bass drivers and true ribbon tweeters.

The ribbon tweeters are well integrated and produce sweet crystal clear highs. Proac is known for outstanding midrange and they don't disappoint, Midrange is outstanding, very natural. Because of this the human voice sounds wonderful. Bass is solid and well extended.

These speakers are quite easy to drive, not at all power Hungary, due to good efficiency. They are forgiving of less well recorded music.

Build quality is outstanding. The real wood veneer grain runs from the top, down the front of the speaker.

I find it difficult to find negative things about these speakers but in order to try and be balanced, I would say placing the speaker terminals halfway up the speaker a possible inconvenience. And if your lugs aren't very thick, they will not clamp without washers.

I can happily state that satisfaction has been attained. These are the perfect speakers for me.

Respect for Stewart Tyler and his Proac team.

Lastly much thanks to Stefan of Air Music for his sincerity, honesty and guidance, thanks Stefan.
