Hi All
I know the NAD 3020 debate appears to be endless, and people are saying you can get a lot better for the money.
Well I'm in the process of being given one, no cost. What I'm curious about is, that I'd like to get it serviced by someone reputable in Cape Town. The volume control appears to create some noise when used, I?m not sure if that requires replacement, or there is a fix?
With that in mind, should the person be replacing the volume control with a quality part? Or will most people purchase whatever is the cheapest and throw it in?
I have a pair of Paradigm Studio Reference 40?s (v4) Speakers and I?m very interested to see what it sounds like compared to my Marantz 5400 AV amp of a few years old.
I don?t expect champagne to fall from the heavens, and musical bliss to ensue, but anyone?s ideas and input would be appreciated. I do appreciate that one is an AV amp, one is stereo etc, so not apples to apples blah blah
Thanks!
L
