Hi all
I've been running a flat tonearm NAD 5120 TT for about 3 years now, but at the start of the year the motor gave up the ghost. Looking for a replacement, I found a mint condition 5120 with the tubular arm and bought it. Now I'm wondering - should I transfer the motor from the running TT to the older but more radical flat arm machine? There is an interesting discussion on it here: http://www.vinylengine.com/turntable_forum/viewtopic.php?t=17113
A secondary question is whether to use the Oyster I currently have or the Ortofon 305 - I know almost nothing about this so opinions would be welcome!
Here are some pics.
