So I recently bought a NAD C300 from peter and wanted to give it a spin on my Maggies before handing it over as a gift...
To my surprise, at the same level on the volume knob, the C300 gives WAYYYY more power, at least 30-40% louder than the C320. It also has deeper and more powerful bass - however the sound is not as round and smooth as my C320... It is much more compartmentalized.
I wanted to turn the C300 and my C320 wayy up to see how they fair against each other at higher levels on the knob, but my land lord is home and I don't want to upset him at this time of the night
Is this to be expected? I see that the C300 doesn't have NAD Soft Clipping which my C320 does... although not sure if this would make a difference.
Is this normal behavior or is something weird with my C320?
