Hi
Is anyone here able to boast that in their system it sounds like the singer is in the room singing to them like their granny or aunty might, but perhaps with a little more skill. In other words, it doesn’t sound produced or compressed or reverbed and really like there’s actually an “unplugged” human singing to you? If so, is it on many tracks or just a few and if so, please give an example.
From my own experience I’ve had the odd occasion when I think “yikes!! That (could be a voice or instrument) sounds like it’s in the room” but generally whilst I’m quite satisfied with my very humble setup, voices seem too cool/professional/enhanced. Or perhaps I can describe it like being given a window into their studio but their voices don’t sound the same as the real people in the room.
