I need your help urgently to avoid a huge travesty of justice and prevent a rip in the very fabric of our society....
Having had my hi-fi recently become part of the "redistribution of wealth plan", my insurance company has been trying to find a suitable replacement system. the fact that it has taken me almost ten years to get this to where i was happy with the way it sounded notwithstanding, they are battling to find some of the older components and are proposing alternatives that I am not ecstatic about....
I need quotes from hifi retailers that are able to provide replacement components for the following equipment:
Harmon Kardon CD player hd720 (HK HD980 proposed)
NAD Preamp (NAD 165 proposed)
Rotel 989 poweramp (Rotel RB 1562 proposed)
Rotel digital Tuner (Rotel RT11 proposed)
Yamaha dsp 390 (Yahama RXV 475 proposed)
Quad 22L2 speakers (Jamo c607 proposed!!!!!!)
the budget is 40k and I would really like to have as close a replica to my old hifi as possible. I am completely against the idea of the Jamos to replace the Quads and would appreciate any advice on replicating the old system.
