Hi all!

So next week i'll be buying some Audioengine A5+ Speakers and i wanted some advice from ye wise ones on these forums as to which subwoofer i should buy to go with them.  I know about the Audioengine S8 and that it ties in with the A5+, but there are some "not great" reviews here and there so i was wondering if there is anything else i should try?  Otherwise i could buy the sub to be delivered with the A5+...

Alternatively, i could skip the sub and buy a DAC for the A5+ (because i don't have enough cash to buy a DAC and a sub), but i have a MSI Xpower motherboard that has an isolated sound card from the PCB to eliminate EMI and so forth, it's relatively high end with good sound for a motherboard at least.  Here's some more info on the board's sound from the review:

"MSI equipped the Z97 XPower AC with a dedicated audio chip powered by Realtek ALC1150 Audio Codec featuring AudioBoost technology. It offers 7.1-Channel HD Audio with studio level integrated 600 ohm headphone amplifier, golden audio jacks for pure audio signals, EMI shielded audio codec, and high quality Japanese-made Nippon Chemi-con filtering audio capacitors. The audio circuitry is isolated from the main PCB to minimize the interferences made by neighboring components and eventually produce a good sound quality.."

So i'm thinking it would probably be a better decision overall to get the sub with the speakers and not the DAC, any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!
Paul
