I have a LAN cable going to the lounge from the study but have a few items which needs it, ie, media player, av amp, etc. How would I go about in linking the router there to be an extension of the main router?
My thinking is that I change it to bridge mode and link it up there and other cables to the components. Will the network automatically pick it up or do I have it wrong with the bridge mode?
I don't know much about networking and even mentioning this "bridge mode" is way out of my knowledge levels.
PS. I want it hardwired as it is more consistent for me than wifi
