So these arrived yesterday afternoon.
While I have not had a enough time to spend with them, my first impressions:
- Super easy to drive. The ifi Zen DAC drives these with ease. I achieve what I would consider my normal listening volume at around 9'o clock on the ifi with these. My Beyer DT770 250ohm only gives me the same perceived volume at around 12 o'clock. My DT880 600ohm needs the dial at around 2 o'clock.
- Build quality is really good. These have the leather free earpads. They feel a touch softer than the leather pads on my LCD2. On ear comfort is excellent.
- Weight is about the same between the 2 sets, still a considerable weight that takes a bit of getting used to.
- The new suspension headphone is really good. There is virtually no pressure on your head, even though the headphones are heavy.
