I just got a pair of HD-595's :clap:
So, after reading all the reviews, I had some serious reservations with regards to all the bass complaints (lack of bass, that is) in the reviews I've read. When I first plugged them in, Massive Attack's 100th Window was in the DVD pllayer so I just started it. Oh my goodness! It's not exactly what you'd call "light music", what with all the funky bass lines. I'm sure you can get better out there, but lacking - hmm... I'm very, very happy with the sound. I also found it can reach very high levels without distortion (running off the headphone socket on my Denon). I'll be listening lots, apparently these improve a lot with burning in - I am not a believer, so let's see if it changes my mind about this
Just thought I'd share... I think I need a real DAC now... Hey DACman, got any schematics handy?
