Hi everyone
I have been a reader of this forum for about 10 years. I am always amazed at the depth of knowledge and plain helpfulness of the people here. You have certainly helped me with my hifi journey over the years. I decided during the dark days of the level 5 lockdown that I need to join the forum and start contributing myself, so here goes.
I am a 40-something man working in financial services. I live in the Fourways area of Johannesburg. I inherited my love of hifi and music from my dad who was way ahead of his time back in the 70s and 80s with a vintage Philips turntable and Wharfedale speakers. I was too young to pay attention to the models, but the Wharfedales were possibly Denton 2s. It is an addiction that was passed on to me and my brothers. I got my own hifi for the first time about 15 years ago. I'll try and rustle up some pictures and post them. It might be interesting for others to see my journey.
