The stylus of my Shure cartridge (in 3009 Ser II on Thorens TD125) is suspect and I want to replace rather than risk damage to my precious vinyl. Which from the following list would you choose if you were in my shoes?
A Jico replacement would be R1 253, including shipment;
Audio Technica AT-100E @ R1 499;
Rega Bias 2 @ R1 799;
Sumiko Pearl @ R1 600;
What else between R1 253 and R1 800 would you recommend? The Shure's trackability (that word was invented by them) I find of just as much value as a criterion as I do the sound of the cartridge.
