New to Receivers

Hi

So i am new to receivers and am looking at buying one. I saw an Onkyo TX SR313(B) from dionwired and need some advice on this.

Is it worthy to buy this brand of receiver?

Regarding the speakers, i have a normal out of the box home theatre with 5.1 speakers, they are 3 ohm each. Can i use them on the receiver?

What happens to my subwoofer? Can it be connected to the receiver or do i need to look for one?

I also saw the Jamo speakers and the look good, are they any good?
