I am in the process of purchasing a new house and will need to get a new tv within the next month or so before I move in. So the lounge isn't very big, maybe around 3.5x3m with a small open plan kitchen, patio door at the back and a large window on the side. The TV will mostly be used for streaming and blu rays. I've been looking at 55" tv's in and around the R15k range and between Samsung and LG. It's been a while since I bought a tv so I am not too clued up about how the 2 brands fair against each other. So far I've seen the following 2 TV's that have caught my attention:
Samsung UA55NU8500 curved TV - Seen this on special for R14,999.
LG 55SK8000PVA - Saw this for R13,999.
Let me know what you guys think and if there are any other tv's I should consider in my price range.
