At the dawn of Q4 I always get the same questions... and it's started spot on.
So for those who are wondering, and have not realised...
YES, Every year at around August-November the new Yamaha models are launched, which leaves the "older ones" on clearance. Sometimes "old tech", sometimes (like currently) just a "pre-face lift" .
This year it never happened - they have skipped this year. Why? Well probably because tech advances did not justify, as the latest/current AVR's are pretty much "up there" already.
My guess this will leave the older stock running out WAY before the new release... a gap where mostly only new stock will be available (early next year?)
Anyhow... be forewarned. The new RX-V*87/ RX-A*090 is only coming in 2020.
