I am thinking of starting up the vinyl black disc flying saucer hobby.
It has always been a bit strange to me (phono stage, cartridge, needles, etc etc), as I have practically skipped CDs alltogether and have only enjoyed my music through a dac into my system from digital copies (downloaded high res or lossless ripped).
Anyhow, I have been enjoying music a lot, but took a two year hiatus (time constraints), but recently dedicated a room only for stereo listening and thought that LPs might be a fun thing to try.
I don't really know where to start.
Any suggestions on a good startup set that could easily be sold on later if it doesn't work out?
I don't have a specific budget for this, as I have no idea what it will cost to set something decent up. I think my decision to do this might largely be based on what it will cost, as opposed to having a set budget at the start of it all, seeing that it might be stillborn if the system is not good enough.
