nigerian trying to con me??

So on monday my girlfriend rear ends a gentlemen on luis botha drive as she claims it was extremely slippery, a few seconds later a nigerian gentlemen rear ends her. based on the fact that he doesnt have insurance, the road being slippery and the fact that he cant afford to fix is car(minor damage- damage to the rear of my car was only R2K) HE INSISTS THAT WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE ON HIS CAR even though it was him who rear ended her after she rear ended the other guy( also minor damage).
She admitted liability to the guy she hit and he has been awesome about everything, but this nigerian is like an ancle biting chawowow who just doesnt wanna stop yapping and biting my ancles, he still insists that im liable!
anyone here with a legal back ground who could swing some advise my way on how to deal with this guy?
