Hi,

Hoping for some advice and / or assistance please.

I've recently linked an external amp (Rotel 993) to my AVR (Denon x3600) to handle the front stage. (The Rotel really improves the front stage with left and right becomeing distinctly left and right comparted to just running directly from the Denon - so obviously I dont want to go back to just the Denon)

Unfortunately I now get an audible hum/noise from the front stage speakers :(
(I listned to Youtube 60hz and 120Hz hums, and its not sounding quite the same for me, but I might be wrong)

1. The noise is there as long as the Denon and Rotel is switched on.
2. Ive swopped RCA cables, (WireWorld Luna 8) no audible difference.
3. Ive switched of all local WIFI equipment and electronics, no audible difference.
4. Only difference I get is when I unplug my 2 subwoofers :( - Ill confirm this again. Noise on speakers are softer but not gone.
5. All equipment runs 2 plug power cables, normal Live/Neutral (Subwoofers, Denon, TV etc.)
5. Rotel has ground, neutral and Live; normal 3 plug power cable.

Question 1 - Im expecting the speakers to be quiet (no noise) with the Denon and Rotel linked?
Question 2 - Is the noise detrimental to my speakers?
Question 3 - Any ideas what to check next / do next to get rid of the noise?

Kind Regards,
Org.
