Hi all
I have been privileged to see some great setups in the last few months of forum members who have there music stored digitally (Rudi and Ray spring to mind) and am now very keen to do the same with my collection. I am looking for the highest fidelity so do not want to give up anything in terms of quality compared to the cd's. I also only want to do this once and do it well so am happy to spend some time researching to get the best solution. I have actually spent some time doing this already. I thought I'd get the opinion of forum members who have already tried this and find out what has worked and what has not. So what do you guys suggest? Windows or Mac? iTunes or not? Which software? What format (FLAC and WAV seem to be the most popular - which do you use and why)? I love the idea of being able to use an iPad or similar to scroll through my music and use the DAC in my Oppo BDP 95 for playback. Anyone else doing this or am I wasting my time and should rather go for another solution? I would really appreciate your guys feedback.
