Not too bright?

I sat dead center of Row J in the Cape Town city hall on Thursday evening with the CPO spread in front of me belting their way through the finale of a Sibelius symphony. I had my eyes closed and I suddenly thought "Is there a bit too much brightness in the treble of that trumpet?"
