Hi Guys,
I have a set of very old (about 40 years old at a guess) Wharfdale drivers. They are marked 10/15 Ohms and are 12 inch in diameter. Along with these, I have a Trio Model W-38 valve AM / FM / SW Stereo receiver. I inherited both of these from my grandfather.
(1) The drivers have paper cones which have got a bit damaged over the years. Is it possible and if so is it worth while repairing / replacing the cones?
(2) How would I go about getting the drivers tested in order to build enclosures for them? My grandfather had them mounted in open backed boxes.
(3) Does anyone know anything about the receiver? Is it any good?
Thanks in advance for any help.
