I'm looking for a watchmaker in S.A. that is able to restore pieces in my ever growing collection of vintage Seiko watches. The watchmaker I used has passed away and the guy that has taken over the business has no idea.
This new guy tried to restore a recently acquired cronograph and failed miserably and this after I supplied all the parts that were required. Frankly my gardener would have done a better job.
I'm not looking for the average watchmaker that's good at replacing batteries. I'm the best one there is in that department. I want someone that has experience with old mechanical wind up and automatic cronograph pieces.
I know there is someone on the forum that either worked for Seiko locally or was a watchmaker. Sorry can't remember who he is. It's not you Skollie but maybe you can help.
Any suggestions. Many thanks.
