My set politely switched off the other day and never came back on. The "extendended warranty" people are saying it is not repairable and are offering a replacement.

The old set is a Sony Bravia 46W450a
It was a WCG-CCFL 10 bit colour panel (100Hz) with Motionflow. Processor was a Bravia 2.

The set they are offering is the 46CX520
It has a host of internet & digital connectivity features which I am not really interested in,
This panel is a CCFL panel (50Hz) with X-Reality Processor.

Am I being unreasonable in not wanting to accept the exchange? To me they do not look the same picture wise and dont even have the same number of inputs. How can I prove to them (without my set working) that an old 100Hz motionflow set is better than a modern set without motionflow. I cannot stand the judder!

Is there anybody out there who has an old set and would be willing for me to bring the GM of Tafelburg to come and do a comparison?
