One large Sub or Two smaller ones

Hi there...  I'm thinking about upgrading my system. Can anyone advise on whether to get one large Sub in my combination or rather two smaller ones.  Some experts recommend to get 2 smaller ones for better low frequency distribution...  :thumbs:
