Sigh. I just replaced my ceiling in the house, and in the process dust got everywhere, including my Onkyo receiver. Not alot, as I closed the hi-fi stand with plastic, but it still got everywhere.
So after they were finished i took everything outside and used the compressor to blow out/off all the dust I could see.
I then reconnected the front speakers only (to listen to music while fitting lights and other fittings back). Amp start up, plays everything, but the moment I put it a bit more loud (about 48 on the dial), it just switch of. Sounds like some relay is triggering something somewhere. The "standby" light then flickers. The fault is not cleared in the manual, only that the "protection circuit" was triggered, and that I must unplug and call Onkyo.
Any ideas on what this could be, or should I just try Onkyo ?
