ONKYO vs DENON

I am looking to buy a AV Receiver, just a basic starter kit. I need at least 3 HDMI inputs, and one other requirement is the multi-zone function. 5.1 or 7.1 is not really an issue. Dont want to pay a fortune for the amp as I still need to buy speakers afterwards.

I am looking at the following: ONKYO TX-SR608/TX-NR509, versus DENON AVR 1610/AVR 591.

Any advice or prefference?
