Got home from work yesterday, to find that our electricity was off, just thought it was unscheduled load shedding again so didn't think to much of it until I noticed that my neighbours have electricity. Jumped on the phone to report the fault to Tshwane at 6 PM. Turns out they have a 24 hour help desk (if you can call it that) , for what I don't know because their technicians only work till 10 PM. As my luck would have it they did not log the fault with their technicians dispatch centre so we went the night without electricity. Come Saturday morning after a dozen phone calls I managed to get confirmation that the fault was eventually given through to the technicians but this was only at 10AM after hounding them non stop.
When the electrician eventually arrive in the afternoon he opened the street box to find that the 100 Amp circuit breaker which feeds both my house and my neighbours house was MIA.
I've heard of them stealing the brass taps in gardens but removing circuit breakers from locked street boxes..... this takes it to a whole new level of TIA. :walled:
