I popped out to the shops earlier this afternoon and used my remote to open and close the garage door. On getting back my wife had disengaged the door in an attempt to open it manually (after it wouldn't open via remote). To cut a long story short, the tensioning spring has snapped and the door is shut tighter than a bank vault with my wife's car in the garage and mine outside. Makes working with our alarm very interesting as I now have to trigger it when coming home and entering via the front door - we typically enter/ exit via the garage.

We've left a message with Caroma's service technician to come and do what's necessary, but does anyone have any ideas how I can release the garage door in the meantime - I'm sure it's going to take a few days to get them out as they're closed till the 9th.
