Opinions on two carts please

I have a really good condition SME 3012 I picked up from Kent Kassler  :Whoohoo:

I need a cart for it. As I am going to be building a double arm plinth including my Alphason HR100s I was considering using a MC on the Alphason and MM on the SME. I read somewhere not to use MC on SME but other people said what rubbish.

I have been offered a Shure V15iv used with new stylus or completely new M75HE. Now I know I am looking for a low compliance cart for what is a heavy arm. Questions for the sages:

1. Is there validity to the argument that you should stick to MM on the SME?
2. What is the absolute and relative performance of the above 2 carts?
3. Are these carts suitable for the SME3012?

I am kinda looking for objective opinions rather than fringe views from someone with a hatred of Shure or someone who feels inclined to compare either of the above for something you can only buy for R20k. i.e. within that the expected price range is the performance good or is there something better or or more suitable for similar or slightly more money.
