I'm making slow but sure progress with the cream grease bearing Garrard 301.
The equipment is now spotlessly clean on top and below the platter. The arm's wiring was a real rat's nest of bad soldering and masking tape for insulation.
So I decided to make a gadget which will clamp on the armpost below with 3 small allen grubscrews and serve as an attachment point for rca jacks so any good quality armcable can be used.
The idea is to feed the anodised bar through the arm hole first and then attach the brass fitting I made, to the armpost.
One of the pics shows what it looked like before.
