I've been thinking
Seeing that I am having a driver made up and with the option of a valve amp, why the heck not have a 50/100/600 Ohm voice coil wound and go OTL? That could make for a special mid range or even bass.
My questions to the valve experts:
What is a sensible impedance to have made up for direct drive with valves? Obviously the higher the voltage the higher the insulation has to be and one would have to hook up the driver in a safer way (imagine 200V on a speaker terminal)
Which valves and topologies are sensible to use here? SE with a cap or a DC offset/isolation transformer or PP of some sort?
