So can of worms intended, I have been alleviated of some earthly possessions one of which being an Ipaq hx2750... Now comes replacement time and I want to know whether i should swop to Palm... Reason being I didn't like the screen, you can barely see it in sunlight and outdoors work is the prime reason for the device... I liked the 624MHz processor and Memory, but it wasn't terribly fast when opening my fieldwork spreadsheet... which admittedly has just on 20K species names behind it. Other reason I had to soft reset it every so often, usually when wanting to show some poor victim how cool my toy really is... So question is
1. will Palm with its slimmed down OS work same or better, even though it is only half as fast (312MHz Palm T|X) or 2/3 as fast (400 Mhz Palm Life drive)
2. Will the Palm be more stable?
3. Is the screen better in bright sunlight?
Unfortunately the tablet PC's at 3X the price is not an option...
