I recently installed one of these in my system. It's only about the size of a 30cm-a-side cube, but man, does this little subwoofer perform! It sounds and feels like a much larger sub. The summary of the Secrets of Home Theater and Hi Fidelity review sums it up much better than I can:

The Paradigm Seismic 110 subwoofer is a freak. It is very small, lightweight as subwoofers go; yet capable of playing very loud, very low, and very clean. It will blow away subwoofers that are bigger, heavier, and in some cases, more expensive. Highly recommended!

It's not cheap, but if you don't want a big box in your living room or home theater due to space or aesthetic reasons then this will give you the same performance in a much smaller package.
