I work as a software developer for a company. For a while now I have been doing photography after hours and on weekends charging a little to recoup at least some of my costs (my costs are still considerably higher than the income made). The company has now become aware of this and has stated that I may not do this without express permission from them. I am now trying to apply for this permission, but seem to not get any joy from HR in this respect.
