Hi All
Did a bit of work on the L75 as a distraction from the lousy weekend weather. Scim idlerwheel in my lathe, rinse out bearing and replace lubricant with some pricey fishing reel stuff, fitted new power cord, new phono lead, scrub platter mat and polish platter rim and it looks like new.
Also did a bit of work on the sh#tty plinth which I think had spent some time outdoors
I must say the Lenco was a bit of a culture shock, being used to my 301's. I'm not denigrating it as I haven't had a chance to listen to it. But I couldn't help noticing the incredibly crappy material and build of its plinth. The Swiss must have really built it down to a price which is a bit regrettable, seeing they took the trouble to build quite an innovative take on an idler wheel turntable.
Can't comment on the arm yet, except noticing the flaking chrome plate on the armwand.
