I'm looking for a 5.1 capable Sound Card for my PC. even though my motherboard has Realtek ACL1150, it doesn't sound good. and unfortunately the HDMI board on my AVR has problems.

Creative have these two similarly priced products https://us.creative.com/p/sound-cards/sound-blasterx-ae-5 and https://en.creative.com/p/sound-blaster/sound-blaster-x4

While Asus has https://www.asus.com/za/Motherboards-Components/Sound-Cards/Gaming/Xonar-U7-MKII/ and https://www.asus.com/za/motherboards-components/sound-cards/gaming/strix-raid-dlx/

And then there is EVGA with https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=712-P1-AN01-KR

Unfortunately the majority of reviews online are about the headphone capability of the sound cards, and almost none with their use in a surround setup.

Unsure if there is any good external options
