I've just gotten myself a Maverick Audio TubeMagic D1 DAC/Preamp/Headphone amp. So far I'm over the moon with the massive improvement to the sound my system is putting out - much MUCH more details, bigger sound stage....and its only run for 24hrs. A bit bright at times though...but that should mellow out. Apparently they really start singing after 50 hrs...Can't wait for tomorrow! ;D ;D
Anyway, my question: Can I get my normal, run-of-the-mill laptop, to output to the DAC via USB? I've played a couple of MP3s through the DAC through the head phone out. The result...so so
. To be honest, I've become so spoiled that I simply cannot listen to MP3's like this any more 8).
