so we know there are quite few people here who like to, um, push it a bit, & driving fast on the road is a really, really bad idea.
so why not come along & join the michelin cup series?
cars are classed based on drive type: front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, and real cars, with power categories.
events start with a dyno day to establish power for classes, then there are a number of events - track days (zwartkops & red star), go kart track days, (zwartkops & vereeniging), and gymkhanas. track events are time trial basis, with cars starting at intervals.
registrations can be done on line at their website ( http://www.michelincup.co.za/Home/Registrations ), and close on 15 january.
for those afraid of a very expensive incident (all of us) track day insurance can be arranged. premiums are not bad, but excess is 20% of loss. catch is that you have to put all your insurance (household etc) through the broker.
