Hi all.
I took a chance and bought this to try and restore (the cabinet not the audio components).
I like the 1960's mid century look. And it would be a cool table for an amp and turntable.
When I got it home I realised the amount of work that would be needed.
Issues
1. The veneer on the cabinet is burner on one side and is damaged in other places
2. The fabric on the front section is torn. I thought it was minor but it is torn in two places.
3. I cant really remove the amp and tuner as it looks like the cabinet was build around the components (glued and screwed in).
Advice needed on the below.
1. Would it be possible and cost effective to have the veneer redone? (New veneer)
2. Does anyone know where I might get this type of fabric from?
3. Has anyone ever restore the cabinet on one of these before?
Thanks
