Hi all
Glad the website is up and running as I actually missed access.
In an earlier post I indicated my satisfaction with this Pioneer A 400X amplifier and its just getting better the longer I use it. I read something about the Pioneer A 400 X I find intersting, though not sure it was serious. The topic related to upgrades and squeezing more out of it with tweaks. There are three red LED's in the power amp section and the user said the biggest improvement he got in sound was to replace this with blue LEDs. Any confirmation of this or do you think he was just being funny? Just for the record, I like it just the way it is - magic amp that drives anything: "modern" B&W, Warfedale 3 - way floor standers to my vintage Mission 770's and JBL L100's - effortless and musically with bags of detail and good bass. So glad I spotted it at cash converters, just plonked on a shelf amongst some video machines. I play it a lot and my main vintage system is getting a well derserved rest. The phono stage is not bad and my Linn sings through it.
