I acquired an old 5000 from a young boy that used this amp. He obviously thought that it was more than it is because of its size. Lol. It had a hard life it seems.
Now, it has been worked on by either this laaitie or some really dodgy bra. He gave me some spares that got 'removed' from the amp. Two pioneer PA3002 transistors that seems totally wasted, power supply caps and even some silicon compound.
The 3002's got replaced with ha1139's. Really badly...
The amp comes on but has the most awefull buzz and it seems to also send dc out because my test speaker sits either all the way out or in. But it makes noise.
Whats the verdict on the repair of this amp?
