I have been thinking about this when considering my next step for my system.
I currently have a Denon x2200, monitor audio bronze 6 towers with 2 svs nsd 12s.
Centre channel is a monitor audio radius 225.
70% of my listening comes off mp3 stored on my PS3 connected via HDMI..
The Ps3 has a DAC and delivers good audio. It doubles up nicely as media store.
I just find it a very inexpensive way when comparing this to standalone DACs. One needs to just ensure that tracks are ripped 192kbs upwards.
Anyone running a similar setup and sees more quality in a dedicated DAC?
