Yesterday I went over a big hump/hobbel near home, and hit the Oil drain plug on the bottom of the sump. :walled:
Bakkie starts to sound weird, and I know I must stop, but I was only 1km away from home, there are some Idiots out there,I know one of them.
Engine seized and stalled 2 houses from home away.
Engine doesn`t turn at all.I went to a mechanic down the road,he said bring it in.I am reluctant, need more info now.

Would a engine swap be cheaper(Bantam 1999 1600 cvh Jap import engine+gearbox go for R3000-00 max.)?
Labour on swap was quoted R2500-00,by mechie.
Jap import gearbox`s(R800-00) cheaper than 1 normal Safrican Clutchplate(R1100-00 and up)
The mech. said swop`s cheaper than buying spares+labour.

Did someone had a similar problem, and then best solution,Please. :help:
