Donated my trusty old Rega to my eldest with a project phono stage to take to Dubai.
They are battling with whine and have tried the following:
Ground wire from tonearm to phono stage.
Ground wire from phono stage to AV receiver as well as direct from TT to AV receiver.
Ground wire from phono stage to ground on wall power plug.
Waiting for some RCA male connectors to bypass the Project and connect directly to the AV's phono stage.(wires from TT too short to reach AV receiver.)
If they physically touch the tone arm the whine is gone.
Not being close i cant play around myself with it so please send some suggestions to try?
