Urgghh... Snagged my Oyaide HPC-62HDX cable one time too many, and now the right-channel is on the fritz :(

Instead of getting a replacement Oyaide HPC-62HDX cable again, since it was only a temp cable until I decided on a `proper` [read as recommended, but expensive], I went back to the reviews and comparisons of upgrade cables.
The Headfonia: Sennheiser Aftermarket Cables Comparison article came back to focus, and I've decided to get a similar cable as the Kimber AGSS Silver/Jena DIY cable that was used.

I also don't want to build it by hand, especially with the costs involved, so decided to the cable built for me, with a warranty.
plusSound's Silver + Copper (Type 2) / Pure Silver (Type 6) Hybrid seems the closest I could find that matches the Kimber AGSS Silver/Jena DIY set-up, and have confirm with them that the copper would be used for ground & the silver for the signal.

So, I'm looking to order the below set-up
  • 1 ? Exo Series Custom Cable
  • Connector Sennheiser (For HD25-HD650)
  • Length (feet) 5'
  • Wire Silver + Copper (Type 2) / Pure Silver (Type 6) Hybrid *PREORDER*
  • Braid Type Round
  • Plug Oyaide Rhodium Plated Straight 1/4"
  • Lower Heatshrink Color Black
  • Y-Splitter Black
  • Slider Grey
  • Left Heatshrink Color Black
  • Right Heatshrink Color Red

Cost is about $269.99

What do you guys think?
