Someone passed these Polk bookshelves onto my brother.

Has anyone heard them, are they any good?
I'm guessing they're easy to drive, 8ohm, 20Watts; so any decent budget stereo amp will do?
And if he decides to sell them (8/10 condition), what's a reasonable asking price?
