Hi all
I am a good sound enthusiast, and nothing more than that.
As a single man with no possessions to speak of, one of the first things I got hold of was a NAD amp (3325PE) and Acoustic Research Speakers off Gumtree (and a Kawasaki, but that's another story).
Fast forward a couple of years and I have added a CD player, turntable and tuner. And now a sv1610 BT receiver for streaming from Spotify.
I am impressed with the BT sound quality, very detailed, but. Whereas I usually put the volume on 1 for CD's, and 2 for vinyls, for the BT it is more like 3.5, and it still lacks the punch of the other 2 inputs.
I am thinking of adding a mini valve preamp after the BT receiver. Random Google searches turn up a Little Bear valve preamp.
Has anyone tried this, and are there any of these little preamps available in South Africa? (below is a bad pic of my little stack, nothing more than that)
