Most of you saw my preamp thread. Thanks for all your contribution. It was inspired by the idea of getting more from my speakers following the uograde path thread which suggested speakers first, preamp second and power amp thirdly.
I want to demo a few preamps and see if it will be necessary for me to upgrade my current preamp. Achim wants me to demo the Gryphon Diablo which I?m sure will blow my socks away but I may need to sell my house to get it. Francois and Geco have some cool gadgets too. I am trying to create a shortlist of preamps that I should try and for now I have the Classe CP800 and the Mark Levinson No 380s. I would love to listen to everything but budget is very tight. At the most I can spend R40k. What else can I add to this list?
