I'm applied for one of these last month and City Power should be coming to my place next week to install.
I know installers don't really care where they install and would probably install a big, ugly, grey box (if they still look like that?) in view of everyone. They tell me I can propose a location within reason - but they can't give me details of this or even what it looks like.
Anyone able to tell me how it works ?
I've got the below and it worked for a year to monitor power - but then stopped. But my understanding is really is just a monitor and connects wireless to the smart meter outside ?
Now, the below is what I believe I get in my house - does it work the same ?
Wireless to the metre (ie doesn't need to be near my DB board) and requires just a power plug?
